yeah, boss fights always get the best music. here are my favorites in no particular order:
"One-Winged Angel" vs. Sephiroth in FFVII, or in Kingdom Hearts series
"Other World" vs. Braska's Final Aeon in FFX
vs. Rapthorne, round 2, in Dragon Quest VIII
"Ruler of the Nine Skies" vs. Malpercio, round 1, in Baten Kaitos (and pretty much every other song from that game)
"Open Your Heart" vs. Perfect Chaos in Sonic Adventure
"Live and Learn" vs. Biolizard, round 2, in Sonic Adventure 2"
"Rising Sun" vs. Yami, round 2, in Okami
vs. Ramirez in Skies of Arcadia (what makes SoA boss music unique is that it changes tone depending on how well you're doing)
yes, i seem to recall that battle from Kirby 64 being epic. doesn't that little fairy finally pull her frigin' weight in that one? need to download that game...

there are three of those: Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island (on SNES), Yoshi Touch & Go (DS), and Yoshi's Island DS (obvious). care to specify?

I have not played in 2 years. It was on GBA, Super Mario World 2 I believe.

I haven't really listened closely to many of the fighting, boss battling songs in games, but I like the Boss Battle Song #2 on Super Smash Bros. Brawl! It at first sounds like a cool guitar solo.

I liked the Music for LOZ Windwaker for the final fight against Ganandorf (Spelling?) It is where there at the top of the tower and Hyrule is flooding. I donut know why, but I do enjoy it very much.
LOL, My spell check suggest that Ganandorf should be Fernando.
