COD4: what the hell is prone???

the title says it all i think.

what the hell is prone, and how do i get like that? i want to complete that challenge online, but i *** cant. normally, i'd just check the booklet, but i rented a copy, and it didn't come with one.

Go Prone? I think it means lyring down... at least from the context that I learned it In that Chernobyl mission.

Shoot people from the position where you lie on your belly. I believe you hold circle on the PS3 version of the game to go prone, then you have to shoot people.

Prone Is when you Lay down In a game. Often to minimize your target. Your gun will also spray a little less (It will fire more accurately when you use rapid fire) and grenades will be more on target. You do not need to fire when you are prone, prone is merely the possition.

Nope, can't say I did notice arby.

Prone is when you lie down flush to the ground on your front. Just snipe some people in this position to get the challenge. Hope that helps to answer your question.
