"I ain't a snitch so I ain't talkin." So-low said.
"I tried to reason with you So-low." Casey said while taking one of the cuban cigars from a cigar box on the desk."I guess I'll have to leave you alone with Miguel here. Miguel isn't as nice as I am. Expect pain."
"He looks like a pussy." So-low said.
"Look at the surveillance tape that covers the bar. That'll show you that he's crazy." Casey said.
So-low pondered this for a moment. He pulled a remote from the desk drawer and pressed a button. A plasma screen television lowered and the word Surveillance popped up. The tape rewound. Casey and Miguel sat in an awkward silence for a moment. Then the fight scene came up. Casey sat there bored. Miguel was entranced by it and So-low looked nervously at it. He flicked it off before Miguel threw the bottle at the last bouncer. Miguel looked upset.
"All right." So-low said."Word on the street is, this cat Damien hired a whole bunch of hitmen to kill you."
"I already know this." Casey said.
"Did you know that Damien is still in the city?" So-low asked.
"What?" Casey asked nervously.
"Yeah, he got him a place up in the slums." So-low said."Third street."
"Where on third street?" Miguel asked.
"Umm... the..the...the old rundown apartment building." So-low said.
"Let's go." Miguel said.
"What?" Casey asked.
"Let's go kill Damien." Miguel said.
"We can't." Casey said."First we need to find out who hired the hit on his parents."
"Why does it matter?" Miguel asked.
"It just does!" Casey yelled. He stormed angrily from So-low's office. Miguel looked at So-low. So-low just shrugged. Miguel left So-low behind and tried to catch up to Casey. He found him sitting on a bench near the bathrooms.
"I locked his parents up and they died because of it." Casey said."I need to know why. I'm not like you."
"What do you mean you're not like me?" Miguel asked.
"I can't kill someone and not care about it." Casey said.
"You didn't kill them." Miguel said."Besides, the people I kill won't ever be missed."
Casey chuckled at that statement."That's where you're wrong." He said.
"What?" Miguel asked.
"You can't possibly know if they won't be missed." Casey said.
Miguel sat in silence for a moment."Where will we find out?" He asked.
"I have another informant." Casey said.
"How many informants do you have?" Miguel asked.
"Basically one for every social class." Casey said.
"All right, what's his name?" Miguel asked.
"He works for the Medici's." Casey said.
"The Italian Mafia?" Miguel asked."How'd you manage to find an informant with them?"
"One was more afraid of prison than death I suppose." Casey said.
The Medici's were exactly what Miguel said. An Italian Mafia that conducted business out of a large bank building downtown. Only their bank wasn't a bank. People who payed protection money would go there to drop it off. Every cop in the city knew not to go near the Medici building. If Medici caught sight of one officer he would sew the city for harrasment and win. Nicolo Medici started out as Nicolo Rafavel. He changed his last name to Medici after he gained his notoriety. He got the Medici idea from the first ever mafia during the Renaissance. Not very original but it scared the hell out of anyone in debt to him.
"What's his name?" Miguel asked.
"Not telling." Casey said.
"Why not?" Miguel asked.
"Because after this blows over you'd charge Medici a hefty sum to remove a snitch from his ranks." Casey said."Then you'd kill the informant."
Miguel laughed."You know me too well." He said.
"We need to get to the Medici building." Casey said.
"How?" Miguel asked."That place is more secure than fort knox."
Casey knew Miguel wasn't exagerating. Almost every person in the Medici building had an automatic weapon somewhere on their person. Some even had two. Then after the lobby there were thirteen floors with similar security. Then there was Nicolo Medici himself who has been shot six times. Twice in the head. He had more assassination attempts on him than the all presidents put together.
"Let me think." Casey said. Casey scanned the street. He caught eye of something that made him smirk.
"What?" Miguel asked.
"I know how we'll get in." Casey said.
"How?" Miguel asked.
"We hire Medici for protection." Casey said.
Miguel looked at Casey for a moment to try and tell if he was serious. After finding out that Casey meant what he said he said,"As long as I don't get shot."
sorry this one took so long. I had to stop writing this so I could write something for a writing contest at school. I'll megashare my story from the contest later and post the link.

And here I was expecting a remake of the Matrix in the next part, haha.
Sorry I took a while to read this, I opened it shortly after you posted and closed the window and figured I'd read it, I really have to stop doing things like that. Anyways, looking forward to the next part, and I'll try and cough up another chapter soon.
