Harvest Moon : A wonderful life. - question, help please.

So, I'm on my second year of chap. 2, and i went into Takakura's house in the evening, and I got this cutscene with that hybrid plant, I forget its name, anyways, Takakura's telling me about how he got it, and the last thing the plant says is "Well it looks like you too are fed" or something along those lines, and then Takakura takes something out of his pocket, and gives it to the plant I suppose, and now it's like, frozen. I mean the characters are still moving about, like swaying, but.. nothings happened for a while.
Is that whats supposed to happen, and I just wait? or should I reset because it's indeed frozen? Help please :(

Ooooh, sorry! I just read the thread saying not to make these types... soo, since my question isn't covered in the strat. guide.. do I post it in that thread? now I'm confused,
