I don't think this indicates an overall strength of McCain as you might believe. I still think America wants Obama...

Look on the bright side. At least Mike did not win the nomination. McCain is probally the closest to the Democratic side than any of his fellow Republican Rivals.

I'd have preferred Romney.

And Huckabee is going to be his VP I think.

I seriously doubt that the Republican will win the general election anyway. Consider Bush's disapproval rating, Iraq War survey results, and scandals caused by Republicans. I think that the Americans lost a lot of trust in the Republican party and are now switching to the Democratic Party (I am talking about those 64% who signed up as moderate)

I wish Ron Paul can sign up as a Libertarian along with Ralph Nader (I dont know if he is still going for the Green Party)

I agree with everything Sam says about the repubs being screwed for the election.

(Democrats don't take this personally because i could list off a bunch of things the bush has royaly screwed up)

So the election is between:

1. the guy who apparentely doesn't put his hand over his heart when he pledge alleigence and apparentely refuses to wear the flag on his suit.

or

2. the woman who only wants to become president to make history for being the first woman president.

GGGRRREEEAAATTT!!!!!!!

I don't see what the pledge of allegiance has to do with anything... I don't say the pledge. Does that make me a commie?
And as for the flag, props to him. Why do we feel the need for a leaders to be ultra-patriotic? Look what that's done for us in the past.

I dont think it was the pledge I believe it was the National Anthem that he didnt put his hand over his heart.

EDIT:I may be wrong.Ace I too dont say the pledge.to me its kind of pointless to say it every day.I said it in first grade, second grade, third, etc, and 9/11.

Obama has no substance, but saying the pledge is NOT what makes him the wrong choice (if anything that's a positive).  Think back to what blind patriotism has done for people in the past.  *** the atrocities in the last 100 years alone were all from over patriotism, from the Holocaust to Vietnam.

I ought to have y'all shot!  Not believing in your country.

I can't have you all shot though, because being Canadian I'm not supposed to give a rat's ass about how Yanks feel about their country and only worry about softwood lumber disputes.

As much as I strongly dislike Obama, I can say that patrotic stance should not play a factor in voting. A non patrotic person can do just as well as a patrotic person.
