Just post the name of an anime movie that you recommend...

Recommended titles:

- Spirited Away

- Howl's Moving Castle
(=Awesomeness)

- Appleseed
(Warring nations fighting for a long lost cause started the movie off. A warrior girl, raised in the heat of battle, fighting a war long ended. She is spirited away to a metropolis where humanity lives in harmony with Bioroids, Android/human hybrids. However, they are unable to reproduce. The key to unlocking their life, and reproduction is "Appleseed", but when in the wrong hands, Appleseed could bring upon the destruction of humanity. Delicious 3-D backgrounds, giant robots, futuristic weapons, and gory headshots... All in all, this movie be the ***.)

- Princess Mononoke
(In a fight in a small village, thier young prince is faced with a corrupted god of nature, and possesed by the demon. Faced with death,he sets out to be exorcised, but instead finds himself in a battle between man,and the gods and demons of nature. Along the way,the boy finds power in the demon's curse, and wields it as a weapon. he come to find a girl as well, living among the wolf demons,Princess Monoke. He finds love, war, and destiny at every turn,in a struggle as epic as the gods.)

- Nausicaa: Valley of the Wind
(As the world is overun by a deadly infection that takes the form of a toxic forest, life goes on in a small valley that lives off the wind through thier windmills. But saoon they would find hell at tier gates,as they are caught in a battle between toxic fiends and a brutal militia. But Nausicaa seeks balance in the chaos, and is the wolrd's only hope to quell the forest's spread.)

- Castle in the Sky
(not as mature as mononoke, but i'll honestly say that any age group can enjoy this. a boy sees a girl literally floating down from the sky and helps her out. turns out some generic shady organization's looking for her. and so are sky pirates. things get interesting... there are robots in it! Big Smile <img src=" src="../emoticons/emotion-2.gif"> ...and airships! ...and obviously a floating castle at some point!)

- Kiki's Delivery Service
(I know, it's a pretty lame anime, But I didnt hate it, It was actualyl pretty amuzing.)

- Perfect Blue

- Barefoot Gen

- Steamboy
(plain *** up. in that great "its japanese" way)

- Akira

- Bleach: Memories of Nobody
(nuff said)

- Blood: The Last Vampire
(pretty decent)

- Blue Gender: The warrior
(the warrior- only to be watched if a fan of the series)

- End of Evangelion
(pretty much the best ending to the series possible. )

- Ghost in the Shell
(highly recommended)

- Metropolis
(an older one, but definately worth finding. )

- Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children
(Based on a game holding world wide fame, the storyline follows to years after the events of the Playstation game Final Fantasy VII. From epic battle scenes,to a plot that will have every fan of the game on the edge of thier seat, this is one of the best anime movies out there. In a fight to stop three powerful brothers from reviving Sephiroth, the insanely powerfull villain of the game,Cloud must face himself and find his true power. With the most amazing battles you have ever seen, and a full cast from the game, this is a must see for all fans. In fact,I'm going to watch it again right now...)

- Samurai X: The Motion Picture
(if you love kenshin the look no more. )

- Blue Sub. 6 (Yeah it's old, yeah I like it, no I don't care what you think about it)

- Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz (As a sequel to the great series Gundam Wing, you can expect nothing less than the great storyline and fast paced battles and destruction in a gundam suit war;where a handfull of the most skilled pilots the mech world had ever seen seek to stop the oppression of a corrupt government...by any means neccessary.)

- Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust (still remains one of my favorites, I've seen it about a billion times too)

- InuYasha:Swords of an Honorable Ruler (If you have ever seen the show, you'll know it had it's up's and down's,and this was definately one of those high points. Cataclysmic battles insue as two brothers clash to claim a sword of insurmountable power left by thier father,a powerfull demon. Along the way, they fight not only each other, but the corruption of the demonic blade. Definately one of my favorite movies.)

Thanks for the sig, Crizy.

Princess Mononoke: guy gets possessed by demon. searches for a way to get exorcised, and ends up caught in an epic battle between man and nature. there are decaptions in it! Big Smile [:D] ...and giant boars!

Castle in the Sky: not as mature as mononoke, but i'll honestly say that any age group can enjoy this. a boy sees a girl literally floating down from the sky and helps her out. turns out some generic shady organization's looking for her. and so are sky pirates. things get interesting... there are robots in it! I'll consider stickying this if enough reccomendations are posted here, and if you change around your first post and add in all of the movies posted here.

Another good movie, would have to be the Bleach movie. ***....what was it called! I can't believe I forgot...

I was going to read the bible but got carried away reading Tom Clancy novels....what? He writes better fiction...

Nah, that's not even available subbed yet. It should be....sometime next year.

Oh yeah, it was "Memories of Nobody". Kind of strange, but hey that's Anime for you. Definitley a good movie to watch, however, you'd have to at least watch the Soul Society arc on the show to understand what the hell's going on...

i've got that one on DVD. its not all that bad to be honest, but kinda disapointing compared to the kickassery of the series. (i've got to finish the manga, cause its twice as kickass). the ending was a big disapointment for me, but simply because what had happened was the complete opposite of what i was hoping would happen.

now to add to the .list, we've got:
Blood: The Last Vampire- pretty decent
Blue Gender: the warrior- only to be watched if a fan of the series
End of Evangelion- pretty much the best ending to the series possible.
Ghost in the Shell- highly reccommended
Metropolis- an older one, but definately worth finding.
Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children- you all suck for not including this movie
Samurai X: The Motion Picture: if you love kenshin the look no more.
Steamboy- plain *** up. in that great "its japanese" way

metropolis... i saw that at my blockbuster! what's it about? maybe i'll rent it.
also Advent Children... still need to beat FFVII. need some serious power-leveling to be done. who thought that four final boss fights in a row was good idea? having a minute-and-a-half special attack to stand up against is not something i enjoy either.

as for the Bleach movie, i think they snuck in a "preview" in the early 100's of the Bleach episodes. anyone know where i can watch that?
