Reply Quote
how do i press the sacred crest against the sea chart to transfer it? because im not sure if i need something to do that. but every time i try to leave the fairy say's "Hey, link, I think it's a southwestren sea chart... Open the southwestren sea chart. They should align on the bottom screen, right? Ahh! Maybe that's what it means by pressing the sea chart to the crest."

Well, I can't say it's obvious. Actually, it kind of is. Press the crest onto the sea chart. One is on one screen, the other is on the other screen. But it took me so long to figure out. It's only the 2nd time I had to use that particular ds function, it actually isn't too common. I had to use it before to give mouth to mouth to Mila, in Hotel Dusk Room 215, but it actually took me longer to figure it out this time. I didn't use a strategy guide in either case. Maybe I should, because I left the temple and came back, before I actually figured it out. Man, that's what I call innovation. This game does what a lot of ds titles can't. It uses all of the ds features, and doesn't use any buttons, except maybe to switch items or bring out the map. But it does all of this effectively, where most other ds games failed. I thought blowing on the windmills was a little excessive, but some functions, like using the microphone to call Astrid made the game a lot more realistic. Zelda has always been about "Wow, I can't figure out what to do", and the ds features help it a lot. Remember to keep an open mind with this game, and that closing the ds lid is actually a function. Man, this game is great.

Wow, this post was completely useless seeing as how the problem has been solved. The maker of this thread was told 3 times what you just said, and he even responded here telling us he figured it out.

Wow, this thread is so bumped.  But no mods called it, and a few more people posted.  Anyhow, if you can find a copy of Hotel Dusk(it can't be impossible, because I found a copy of Izuna last weekend), you use the same function to give mouth to mouth to a hot girl(as I mentioned in my last post on this thread ages ago).  Well, I think she was hot.  I can't remember, because it has been so long since I lent that game to my friend.  That's ok, because I have had his copy of Devil May Cry for a while, though not even half as long as he has had my copy of Hotel Dusk.  And I was thinking of rushing through the game to return it to him, despite the fact that I am buried in better games that I need to beat if I don't want to fall behind.  Well, I guess I shouldn't rush, it goes both ways.  Wow, how did I get so off topic.  The point is that the ds has functions that most people never thought possible.  How's that for originality?

Get a treasure map.  When you do, go to the X.  When you get there, you should be able to look for treasure using the salvage arm.  If not, just move so that you are in the right spot, because sometimes you can be on the X, but not quite in the right position.
