A MUST READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah that was good, if you are between 12 to 16 (books are for 12+ but it is gory and mature, should be 14+) you should read the Cirque Du Freak series by Darren Shan, also by the same author for older teens is the Demonta series (this demon  sliced open this chick and was dancing in her body like a costume) so it is more mature, but really good. HP books are always good. LOTR, is a obvious classic, animal farm and lets see. anything be Stephen King od Dean Konntz. and lots more that i just can't think of.

Most of Stephen Kings latest novels suck though.I used to live my grandmother and she owns every book by him and she says all the latest are really stupid like the one about the fart demons or whatever.

Star <img src=" src="/emoticons/emotion-30.gif">My favorite book is That Was Then, This Is Now. It is by S.E. HINTON. This book is about a boy named Bryon and Mark. They are both growing up. Bryon is spending a lot of time with girls, and thinking seriously about who he wants to be and Mark still just lives for the thrill of the moment. Them to are growing apart until Bryon makes a shocking discovery about Mark which would change their lives forever. They were like brothers. This is a really good book. I have'nt finish reading it but it's good.I tell everbody I know to read this book. It is really good.

Re: Favorite book
My favorite book is the first book in the series called, "Eragon". A poor farmer boy goes hunting one day in the most dangerous part of the world, the spine. While killing his quarry, he finds a strange blue stone. As the time passes at his farm, the stone starts to crack. It really was a good book by Christopther Paniloni. I give it,Yes [Y]Yes [Y]! The other book, second in series, was called "Eldest". The story contines after Eragon and his Dragon uncover new secrets, unlock new power, and try and win new love. Those both are really good, if you like fantasy. I give Eldest,Yes [Y]Yes [Y]!

Re: Favorite book
you should read his books in the order they came out because he makes refences to earlier books

EX: in Rose Madder he mentions Susan Day, in an earlier book called Insomnia the story KINDA SORTA focuses indirectly on her.

Re: Favorite book

I absolutely CANNOT pick just one book as my favorite; because I like reading, and there are quite a few books that I've read that I really liked (pretty much all the books I've read..hahaha)

Anyway, here are a list of SOME that I really, absolutely, fr***in' enjoy:
Apollo 13
Harry Potter
(#5 and #6)
Liars & Thieves by Stephen Coonts (www.coonts.com)
State of the Union by Brad Thor (www.bradthor.com)
One of my Dad's books from before I was born: Han Solo at Stars' End
and Many, Many, Many, Many more!!!!

Sorry for not picking just one, but, as I stated above...I can't pick JUST ONE book as my favorite.
P.S. Liars & Thieves and State of the Union really turned me on to US/Russian spy novels (both contain plots *and rivalrys?* between US and Russia. Russia basically causes mucho (no I'm not spanish; nor do I know any spanish -- other than Gracious, Si, Uno) trouble for US (and US allies)

State of the Union -- "What if the Cold War was not over? What if the Russians 'faked' their losing of the Cold War; to make the US put their guard down. After the end of the Cold War, America dropped production of weapons and pulled troops back home from areas that they had troops stationed at. What if the Russians developed a Defense System that could make it impossible for enemy missiles to come into Russian borders/territory; what if the Russians could control US missiles and launch US missiles? That is a sample of the plotline of this book."    I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!!

Liars & Thieves -- "A mass-attack of Americans, hired by a former member of the KGB, attack a CIA safehouse in the Alleghany Mountains. Tommy Carmellini, is sent their by the CIA for a week of guard duty. When he arrives, it is chaos as he witnesses the mass-attack of 'enemies' armed with assault weapons and ghillie suits. The enemy target? Mikhail Goncharov, Archivist of the former KGB, who has defected, along with seven suitcases filled with notes that he copied from the KGB archives. Tommy Carmellini finds a woman and one suitcase in one of the burning CIA safehouse buildings. That ONE suitcase is the only one that survived the attack. The woman, suitcase, and Tommy escape the CIA safehouse to seek shelter/safety/whatever you want to call it. Mikhail is luckily, able to escape, too..by himself." Read the book for all the AWESOME plotlines and story. (WARNING: May not be suitable for all audiences. Contains crude language and *sexual* scenes -- such as, the 'pron' filmaker who is one of the girl character's ex-boyfriend. ~ beginning of book - first chapter).

anyway..
