So the only way to defend our border is to shoot them? Sorry savage (you too coder, man give them a break, its not like when they come over here their lives are better yours)Why. They havent used violence against us, so we shouldn't start against them. Just capture them and deport them. Or if you guys insist on violence, use non lethal ways.

i think they should come over legally and at least try to learn our language, instead of hopping the border and making us americans learn spanish. the d bag bush isn't helping at all either.

Exactly. Or we can try to help them want to stay over there. Help by doing somthing for their country. I know its not our responsibilty, and we have too much money on aftermath of Katrina, and Iraq war. But we need to something, and deporting them is not working.

I agree with those who think it's barbaric to kill. Ending someone's life just because he/she looks different from us would only show to the world how cowardly we can be. I lived in a border city in Texas for three years, and from what I saw people are not afraid of illegal immigrants enough to get paranoid and shoot them at sight.
I completely agree that something needs to be done about our borders by the government. Showing our concerns about illegal immigration should be directed at our government, and we should pressure them into doing something about it. "Taking the law into our own hands" is not the way to show Congress they aren't doing their jobs right.

use rubber bullets or been bag shot guns but if they want to come in they should do it legit and get in the system for taxes and such if they want to live here they should help the country and thats not just for mexicans its for all illegal imagrants there nothing wrong with them being here they just need to do it the legit way

Well, there's the problem nismo, if they could come to the U.S. the legit way, they would. There are many restrictions one would have to meet to get the American visa, so it's not like they're comming illegaly to not have to wait in line. I highly doubt that many people who actually qualify for the visa have the need for a better life in the U.S.

it just hurts the whole country when they hop the border but most of them think they are doing a good service for the u.s. buy being here and working cheap when they only help a few but i do see where your coming from on the visa part but alot of them could get a work visa

To any body out there that believes that illegal immigrants are the backbone of this country...you are wrong. They do the jobs that most don't want too, but doesnt mean we cant.

First I'd like to address the issue about citizens being able to do the
"unwanted" jobs illegals do. I agree with that comment, so why
exactly are they not doing those jobs, and why are there homeless
citizens? Illegals come from different parts of the world, some from
hundreds and others from thousands of miles away leaving their families
behind for a chance to improve their lives. They struggle
along the way, then arrive and have to struggle with culture shock, yet
many can find a job opening right away and take it without thinking
about it twice. Citizens have a big advantage over (most) illegals
which is they can speak the english language. When applying for a job,
the only thing keeping an American from getting the spot is themselves.
Wether they have the skills or not, if there is an opening, they will
be given an opportunity, and if they are quick learners they can keep
that job and expand on it. Those long-time unemployed (and the
"homeless" at street corners and under bridges, who I just see as a
bunch of winos) need to get off their asses and start looking for a
job. Work is not going to be handed to them on a silver platter. They
should stop relying on others to keep their lifestyles, start digging
as deep as they can to find a job, and most importantly stop blaming
the illegals for their unemployed status.
It is a common misconception that illegals don't pay taxes. As a matter
of fact, not only do they pay taxes, but they have been, and most
likely continue to be in years to come, the main source of surplus for
the Social Security Administration. In order to get a job in the U.S.,
in most cases, a social security number and an ID are required, so
illegal immigrants find a way to get false versions of those to apply
for a job. The purpose for the number is so the government can give
Americans full credit for all the money it has borrowed from them
throughout the year. It's different for illegals though, because since
the name and number they provide does not match with any of those in
the Social Security Administration's records, their money cannot be
reinbursed, so what happens is all that money not claimed goes into a
"suspense file" which is supposed to hold it until it is legally
claimed. The government will probably invest that money and earn much
from the interest of its longevity. Also, since the workers are not legal, they will get absolutely no benefits from social security after they retire.

nice article and post there alot of onfo from both and as far as a suspinsion file for unclaimd tax money there should be a deadline to claim it and if that is passed up the govorment gets it

That's a good idea. After a set number of years not claiming their
taxes, each year they lose credit for each of the begining years not
claimed. That could actually work. It would be like paying America back
for what they've done. The only bad thing I see about it is that it would not solve the problem of illegal immigration. I guess the government could turn this into some sort of "indentured service" where immigrants could come to the country right away legally but would have to give up all their rights to the tax credit and in return they could get freedom (legal residency) after a few years of working inside the country. Anyway, this could also backfire since retirement of the "baby boomers" is upon us and getting people to fill all those jobs might be a problem.

Actually UyrLive they dont use fake numbers they steal SS#'s from US residents.My mom had hers stolen from some mexican in San Antonio.Because of that it will always show she has a job and can never apply for anything like school grants or unemployment or anything because she will be making too much money from 2 full time jobs.I think mexicans need to fix their own country not give up on it and try and take ours.Why should we take them in with open arms when they dont even care about their own country much less ours.They are terrible here in TX and it is very difficult to find a job here because theres so many mexicans willing to work for less.For people that dont have specific skills here it is difficult as hell to get a job doing anything even fast food.
Stress is when you wake up screaming...Only to realize you havent fallen asleep yet.~Some calendar i saw at the store.
