EXACTLY lol Its Meta-Knight. I use him mostly in the air. That stage would also be good with Jigglypuff. Or anyone else who would fight mostly in the air.
Edit: that was for Suds....Crizy: Yes you're completely right. But with Brawling...comes strategy. And moving platforms and whatnot will come in handy there.

But if strategy only exists because you can get BS'd out of a win, despite skill, strategy doesn't seem to be all that cool...

No yeah I know. But I'm just saying, people have different styles on winning. Strategy, Brute Force...or a combination of both. Theres a reason why they have different stages in Brawl, also why they let you make your own. That reason (One of) is that it requires a different strategy to play on. And no matter what every one plays with strategy even if they don't realize it. people who use brute force...their strategy is to just keep on Striking their opponent until they win. Others (Like my self) incorporate jumps and Dashes and awkward terrain. I say awkward meaning that unless you've mastered the stage, you have to worry about those platforms being there, or those spikes being there. Me personally I think that spikes are a cheap way to build Damage, but I use them anyway if I can use a character that can avoid them.

wait... so are you guys saying that you dont think about how you're playing or what to do? you just do it and it happens or you attack?
im astonished, i applaud anyone who fights like that. i use to play like that when i was playing smash 64, back in 1998 (with pikachu, 3 stock, items) back when i sucked. i usually got ko'd or ko'd myself... but then i started to improve soon after for some reason. and when i was a little older, understanding smash more, i started to think before i acted. now thats how i play smash these days. i think about everything as im playing, i try my best to plan it out then and there, when i need it
now im temped to go play a bit just charging.. i dont wanna screw up the scores on the game, and i dont even think i could considering how use i am to playing in this style i use now..
so whats your style guys? any similar to mine, with planning? or is it all about evasion? or maybe even force, power, and attacks? or MAYBE you just go with the flow, do what you can when you can?

i try to slowly build up damage from a distance (example: lucas/ness' electricity move or pit's arrows) then i like to close in and lay down some smash attacks to finish em off. but i definatly like to try at least, to think about my attacks before i use em.

Smash has dial in combos and pretty simplistic controls. There is an underlying beautiful simplicity to it. Strategy really doesn't play a big role unless you have items on.

ah, projectiles. nice. i always use to hate em when i was much younger, but then i realized how useful they are.
you dont need items on... and the "simplicity" of the game doesnt mean you cant be strategic. if anything, using items isnt strategic, anyone can grab a hammer and pummel someone. (i guess thats why items arent on in the big tournaments). strategy doesnt play a big role... i see what you're saying. so then theres no need for teching, deciding when to use your B up, timing on attacks, timing on shield or dodging, or where to go and when to go / where to do it and what to do...
(gee, i really have a knack for getting into arguments dont i?)
