I need some help.
As some of you may know, I am currently grounded from my Wii which is killing me considering that I just got Mario Kart two days before getting grounded...
I have a science test hopefully tomorrow and if I make a B or better, I get my Wii back.
The test is on Newton's Laws of Motion. Also on the test there will most likely be questions about motion and friction in general.
For the most part I understand it all but was wondering if any of you had any tips for me. I am homeschooled so I can take the test as soon as I want so the sooner I take it the faster I get my Wii. Any help/tips?
I would also appreciate if you guys could respond to this ASAP because I want to either take the test tonight or tomorrow.

Those are easy

Every object will continue moving at a certain speed until a force is placed upon it

Force equals mass times acceleration. (F=MA)

Every force has an equal and opposite force (when you jump you direct force towards the ground and the ground directs an equal amount of force into you, causing upward acceleration)

When object A exerts a force on object B, object B exerts an equal but opposite force on object A.

My best advice is to go over all of your notes until you have memorized them.  That's what I usually do.  Anyways, study hard and wish you best on your test....

I don't know what grade you're in, but assuming it's 8-10th grade, Dole gave you the basics.

These laws are one of those most obvious laws realized. Unfortunately, kids forget them a year after they "knew" them on an exam because all they did was memorize syllables that form the correct answer. It's foolish teaching to include any memorization of any kind. I wish our parents would stress analysis and understanding. That's why so many can't analyse much anything, and just "leave it to the experts". I'd advise you to wikipedia up and study.

Funny, I didn't take you as the type that would trust Wiki.  There's a physics forum out there somewhere that has pretty much everything (though I haven't had the time to really check it out) just google it if you really need help.  But yeah, it's really basic stuff so it shouldn't be too tought for you to figure out.

And I also agree that parents should teach their kids to do more than just the bare minimum.

Think about real life and common scence. For example: Newton first law which basically says that you hit an object it moves and will keep moving unless something stops it. Friction and gravity are the major two things that stops an object.  Newton third law which basically says if you throw something on the wall, it will bounce back.

The thing is...This has happened when my wife WASN'T home...I think it may be my 17 year old daughter. I've looked in her room and she has some of the same sex toys and she has written in her journal that she is into that same kind of fetish. What should I do?"

Those who don't use it because "Anyone can write anything in it" is a *** moron. I've only come across ONE article that wasn't right ( WW2), and I've literally probably read at least 15 percent of all articles on there. Technically, it's POSSIBLE someone might talk out of their ass in it, but then provide me with evidence that people who actually care about these things don't actually seek to know objective truth in it. There is none; people who write there, generally, want to help people ( as unlikely as some articles will) in that area because they know what they know ( and what they do not), and they want to get their word out.

I've used it so many times for research ( not in formal schooling, for it's banned there) because I know they will at least give me an idea of where to look for help in understanding what I seek to. And, franky, I've not come across one statement asserting factualness that's necessarily been refuted by another site more specifically commited to that topic. All opinions/ speculations are presented in non-factual form, and often come with valid criticisms of it.

Use Wikipedia, teenagers! Your teachers( and probably your friends who blindly accept what their teachers say) are LYING straight out of their ass to you.

I'm smarter than the majority of people I've met ( probably including you--bite me), and it's in fairly large part through taking time to understand each CLAUSE of the Wikipedia articles I've read. It's a HIGHLY useful research tool. Trust someone who has actually given it a thorough chance.

I've given it a chance, except most of the articles I see have the little warning that it's creditability is in question or that it could be opinionated.  I do check it, I don't completely trust it though, I'll usually look for other sources first.

I'll ignore your intelligence comment, if you have to tell yourself that then I guess your self esteem isn't the greatest.  A word of warning though, don't presume everyone is dumber than you.
