AA&W is a fast food restaruarnt. started in the 20s, made famous from its root beer. its not a company that makes the root beer. i dont know which company does make it, (think its pepsi), but they just make it with the A&W name on it. i work in a crappy and smelly fast food join. although, as we speak, my resumes are printing. perfect time of year to apply around.

Umm...Your 16.What would you have to put on a resume?

alot more than most other 16 year olds. i've worked in three different auto shops, i've done several different kinds of construction work (note, all of these were weekend jobs, and then summer jobs, totally legit however)

i have my grade 10 co-op, which was with rogers televison (looks GREAT on a resume) and countless hours of community serivec on there. along with three very relible references.

i also have my cover letters to go along with them. on those i go onto my experience. like cash handling and what not. customer experience, sotck gathering, employee training, management experience. dont ever doubt me because of my age.

well, technically, since i was a kid for the auto shops, cause my dad works in them. i started getting paid under the table when i was 12... when i turned 14, and i was legal to work in private businesses, i worked in two of those auto shops in one year. my dad ended up moving to another place, which is why i changed. for the summer, i found work with my uncle doing drywall installations, and the last of the auto shops. at that point, i was actually allowed to help out with actual car work, rather than just cleaning everything like i had before... it was one hell of abusy summer. while i was 15, i was doing caprentry on the weekends with a friend of mines father. it went from furniture buliding to house making... i was just like an assitant helper though... still, i got to do some work, and picked up some really handy skills. and for the summer of when i was 15, i went back to drywalling. in october, (still 15) i was hired at A&W, and turned 16 two weeks later. since then i've been working there.

i also as a kid had three paper routes, but i would never in all of my years put those on my resume! as far as the co-op went, i did that during school hours. last two periods of everyday. all i did was move around *** boxes and connect wires... never actually got to do anything TV related. regardless, it still counts as experience, and looks pretty damn impressive on a resume.

Quite the worker bee arent you?*** all that ***.I got a job as an electricians helper with my cousins husband.I was only 16 and didnt get covered by company insurance so that job he was working wouldnt let me work there and there plenty other places he worked like that so i quit.whats the point in having a job if you dont work or get paid??So after that i slacked off until i turned 17 took the GED and from there i came to my tech school and ive been here for  a little over 8 months.I have enough certifications right now that i can get a job making $40,000-$60,000 a year.Im trying to get another one called MCSE which can get me a job making $70,000-$90,000 a year. Not bad for 18 huh lol.Problem is most of these people want experienced technicians.I found a job closer to home(by home i mean my moms)so im hoping to get it.I probably be making more than $10-12 an hour but its better than minimum wage crap.

im actually hoping to get a job with a friend of mine. his dad is the president of a foods maufacturing plant, and the starting is like yours, from 10-12. although, if i start in blending, then i start at 15. the place is clled grand river foods, and basically all it is, is processing chicken to be sold in grocery stores, all over canada. so not only is it high pay, its also free chicken! i love chicken!

although, at the same time, if i end up with a plain old job at EB or Chapters, at 8.50 an hour, i wont be complaining.

Well making 10-12 an hour is like waitress pay for an IT tech. Some administrators get paid up to $50 an hour. Some probably go higher than that but thats the highest payng one ive seen so far. However its a good way for me to a job and finally get some experience in the IT field to put on my resume when i finally make it.

well, people make careers out of IT, so it makes sence why its high. not to mention, all the schooling required, and of course the fact that i see few people actually in that field. your actually the only one i know.

as far as a career goes, im not certain what i want. something in the dramatic arts would be so awesome, but at the same time i have to stay in touch with reality. im more than likely going to be a social science major in post secondary school, so i could always think about teaching. i dont care if its not a tremendously high paying job, i just want something that i would enjoy.

right now, getting an actaully fun job is a dream, so its all about the cash.
