According to my research and the article I read in Reader's Digest, more and more people are taking art instead of real subjects. Teaching art in public schools may inspire young children into art which higher the chances of art enrollment in college. Why Ban Art 1. Low employment rates to college majors (http://www.studentsreview.com/unemployment_by_major.php3) 2. Low job satisfaction (http://www.studentsreview.com/satisfaction_by_major.php3) 3. Low salary (http://www.studentsreview.com/salary_by_major.php3) What did you get when you put these three togather. Crap. Solution: Ban Art in public schools and four-year universities. However, art can be involved smally. Art is a subject to express yourself and show your feelings. I, myself love drawing, so why do you want to take it away from people? All you want is to have schools filled with writing and computers! Art is a great subject. Just because you dont like it doesnt mean everyone else doesnt!! Infact I find it really, really worrying that you would like to take something like that away from people. You must have a very sad life if all you enjoy are writing and computing subjects. I seriously dont get you! Your 14 going on 50! You act like everything revolves around work! Bankruptcy and forecloser. Watch Dateline, there is a story about a person who dropped out of school to go to NYC to become a broadway actor. The only ONLY ONLY way she could make money to pay off her school stuff and apartment is to get a bf (who killed her for stripping), being a stripper, and being a hooker. That is one of the few stories that I heard of. What I am saying is pursue something better. A teacher is fun (especially with those good hours and average pay) or a Lawyer. There are thousands of jobs out there besides art jobs (writer, actor, etc.). One of them you will bound to enjoy. If you dont, study about a particular major for while and see how intersted you will become. If you need some help getting information one then search here. http://www.bls.gov/oco/ It will tell you everything about that carerr, even the pay and the availbilty of that job. Some of them you may not know about Engineering - Mechanical - The study of motors and buiding a motor. Sociology - The study of working with other people. Social workers is a fun job and they get payed excellent Education - Learn to teach. Communication - Learn about filming and tape recording. This is 4 out of 1,000s and 1,000s of majors. If you want to learn art for enjoyment and nut use to much money. All my carrer research are done in official governement sites. U.S. department of labor. I searched and compare at least 300 jobs there.
