Woman Dies Trying to Win Wii for Kids
The Associated Press has reported that Jennifer Strange, 28, of Rancho Cordova, California died of water intoxication while trying to win a Wii from a radio contest.
A Sacramento radio station was holding a contest titled “Hold Your Wee for a Wii.” The contest challenged participants to drink as much bottled water as they could. Whomever could hold their urine the longest would win a Wii. Strange was participating in the contest in order to win a Wii for her three children. She had consumed several eight-ounce bottles of water and was complaining that her head hurt. She was also heard crying on her way home.
The radio station warned contestants not to put their health at risk and states it was stunned when it heard the news.
